A Potpourri Of Choice Motion Picture Story Lines

It wasn’t that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. Below is a sample of some of the movies you can find using movie download sites.

Meteor: Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Manhattan all get a large piece of the stone while a mammoth meteor comes crashing to the planet. Late entry in Hollywood’s catastrophe cycle trashes fine cast with boring script, shoddy outcomes. Cast includes Sean Connery, Natalie Wood, Karl Malden, Brian Keith, Henry Fonda, Martin Landau, Trevor Howard, and Richard Dysart. (103 minutes, 1979)

Snake Eyes: When the Secretary of Defense is assassinated while a big heavy fight at an Atlantic City casino is going on, pandemonium breaks out. Local cop Rick Santoro finds himself right in the middle of the mess. The doors are locked and everyone is kept inside the building as they try to quickly solve the crime.

About Adam: This is a true ‘chick flick’. About Adam is a light hearted romantic comedy about a Don Juan type who courts all three sisters of a quirky, and tight knit, Scottish family. Somehow this charmer has all three women falling head over heels for him. Kate Hudson, Frances O’Connor, and Stuart Townsend star. (2001 Comedy-Romance)

Toy Soldiers: A prep school populated by prosperous rich kids is taken over by Colombian alarmists. Pointless film takes a seemingly idiotic premise and makes it amusing. Cast includes Sean Astin, Wil Wheaton, Keith Coogan, Andrew Divoff, Louis Gossett, Jr., and Denholm Elliott. (112 minutes, 1991)

Action in the North Atlantic: This story is of the struggle of a Liberty Ship, and the battles it faces getting from Halifax to Murmansk. They are part of a convoy that is repeatedly attacked by German submarines. They are cut off from the convoy and must fend for themselves as they batte on toward their final destination. Stars noted are Humphrey Bogart, Raymond Massey, Alan Hale, Julie Bishop, Ruth Gordon, and Sam Levene. (1943 Lloyd Bacon directs this old WWII film)

Culpepper Cattle Company: , and Wayne Sutherlin. A sixteen-year-old influences track manager to take him along on livestock drive, gets to be a guy in the format. Fair however over abundantly vicious Western. Cast includes Gary Dirties, Billy “Green” Bush, Luke Askew, Bo Hopkins, Geoffrey Lewis (92 minutes, 1972)
