Halogen lamps are ideal for most lighting scenarios, whether it’s just to provide general lighting, or for accenting. It is clearly definable by its pearl-essence and it’s particularly lively illumination. It provides a rich light to promote a creative and stimulating work place.
With halogen lights you create your own custom lighting solutions for any occasion as they are available in different colours and sizes, and with or without a reflector.
The reason that the halogen gas itself is present in the bulb is to reduce darkening of the bulb by decay of the filament. Tungsten is usually what the filament inside a light bulb is made out of, which is an extremely durable metal in high temperatures, which is why it is used. Despite this, it still very slightly disintegrates over the course of its life.
This evaporation would cause the small atoms of tungsten that separate themselves from the filament to build up on the inside of the glass if it werent for the halogen gas filling the bulb. The atoms of halogen gas collide with the freed tungsten atoms sending them back to join up with the filament again, resulting in a much more durable light bulb.
Underneath halogen light, colours look brighter, fresher and more appealing due to the extremely reflective nature of the halogen lamp surface. Places like clothes stores and hotels are common places that will be halogen lit, perfect for a rich shine of colours with ambient sparkle
Halogen lamps can provide extremes of widespread, soft, shadow-free illumination or sharply defined narrow beams thereby allowing creative accents.
With a slightly higher colour temperature, halogen lamps give the light a crisp and fresh appearance compared to standard incandescent light bulbs.
So if youre looking to brighten up a space, whether its your home or your workplace, then for a whiter, sparkling gleam, go for halogen lighting as they are now far superior to the older light bulbs.
