What Makes Zhu Zhu Pets Good First Small Pet?

Is it really true the Zhu Zhu pets are so cool that your child will stop asking about when they can get a real hamster and still end up thrilled with the automated one you’re thinking of getting them? Most kids have started asking for a pet of their own by the time they are 5 years old. Some start asking a couple years earlier than that. Once the concept of a small pocket pet becomes clearly a good idea to your child, how do you go about designing the appropriate tests of their maturity and ability to care for another living creature?

Almost all children want a pet or two. Yet despite their promises of making a good and responsible pet owner out of themselves, pocket pets are often left neglected when the weather warms up, when the cool new kid in school becomes your child’s friend, or any one of a host of distractions that leave the pocket pet sitting alone and waiting. It usually takes a child 4 to 6 weeks to start forgetting how to take good care of a real pet.

While the Zhu Zhu pets are a unique and interesting toy for children, parents look at them like the first step toward responsible behavior toward animals. Their lifelike needs, ability to understand their environment, and even their specialized toys make caring for them all the more fun. With sound effects, built in monitoring abilities, and the ability to run in the hamster wheel it is possible that these artificial hamsters might be a little more engaging than the real thing. After all, these little hamsters drive cars.

Unlike stuffed animals or even talking toy pets, the Zhu Zhu pets are not likely to be readily outgrown. They are highly engaging little toys that offer a wide range of accessories to give your child the chance to learn and develop not just pet caretaking skills, but understand realistic time tables and the benefits of waiting until he is older to have a real pet of his own. Mazes make play time fun. The tooth brushing sounds and the hamster’s toilet flushing trick is enough to hook some kids for life. The bedroom of the little hamster’s house brings about sleep sounds and he wakes with a simple alarm clock just like the rest of us.

The level of engagement that these little automated pocket pets offer your child allows your child to basically grow with his new little pocket pet. Therefore, boredom with the toy is not likely to settle in at all. He is the hamster without the stinky cage. He is the hamster that doesn’t get lost and won’t be unintentionally treated with cruelty as his dish sits empty for several days, waiting for someone to remember to feed him.

One of the better ideas that has come from this new line of innovative toys is that it is the perfect pet for kids who have severe allergies and can’t have pets in the home. Kids who have such conditions find that they usually have to miss out on the bonding, nurturing experiences that a real pet would offer them.

While Zhu Zhu pets won’t completely replace a real pet, it is certainly light years ahead of the average stuffed animal that kids of yesteryear received. These little guys will interact with you, play during convenient hours, and since they are not nocturnal like most pocket pets, there’s no one to keep your child awake at night.

While Zhu Zhu pets aren’t ready to take over the world with their cute little Zhu Zhu cars, as an alternative solution to real pets this is so far the best yet discovered. With constant fun and the practice of developing live pet skills, you may just see your child blossom into a full blown animal lover with great caretaking skills.

There are a ton of people in the world looking for what to buy their children this coming christmas. If you are one of them, you may want to look at zhu zhu pets for the really great zhu zhu pet hamster toys.
